Medicine to Hyolmo

Tashi Lama is the principal of Yangrima School in Sermathang village in Hyolmo, brother to Dr Pasang. The Hyolmo Social Service Center in Boudha (HSSC) usually helps the Hylmo community living in Kathmandu. After the earthquake, HSSC was at the forefront of relief work, focusing on the Hyolmo area of Sindhupalchok district.   • Kholakhadka, Sindhupalchowk

    After returning from Bahrabise, Karma Jangchub, Konchok Gyaltsen, Urgyen Gyurmey, and Jigme Kunsang (monks from our Ka-nying Shedrub Ling monastery) went back to the Sindhupalchowk district to aid Kholakhadka, just outside of Melamchi.     This afternoon Kitty Luk from Hong Kong came to our emergency office to deliver a donation of 497,000 Nepali Rupees on behalf of Tulku Karma Tubten.   • Bistab teaching First Aid to the monks

    Bistab, a nurse from Norvic hospital in Kathmandu, has offered to train our monks in first-aid so that they are more able to help the wounded in the areas they are visiting. She is also helping treat the young monks who have some minor skin problems and the like from so many days camping outside.
